Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an Investigative Journalist & Analyst. The role involves identifying and developing story ideas across Polity & Society’s focus areas, conducting in-depth research, and gathering information from primary and secondary sources. The journalist will produce clear, accurate, and engaging written work, including investigative articles, news analyses, and long-form pieces, aligned with the platform’s editorial standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include interviewing experts and stakeholders, reviewing documents and data, fact-checking, and collaborating with editors to refine content. The role may also include preparing press summaries, contributing to multimedia features or broadcasts, and supporting editorial planning to ensure timely coverage of key developments.
Location

Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Writing and News Writing skills for producing clear, factual, and engaging content.
Candidates should possess solid Research skills for investigative work, source verification, and evidence-based analysis.
Candidates should possess experience with Press Releases for communicating key findings and organizational updates to external audiences.
Candidates should possess Broadcasting skills for contributing to audio, video, or live discussion formats where needed.
Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and fact-checking abilities, with a commitment to accuracy and ethical journalism.
Strong interest in social sciences, politics, society, economics, and global affairs, with the ability to synthesize complex ideas for broad audiences.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote, deadline-driven environment.
Relevant experience in journalism, policy analysis, or research; a degree in journalism, communications, political science, sociology, or a related field is beneficial.
