Procurement Manager

Role Description The Procurement Manager is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing end-to-end procurement activities that support ATV’s programs and operations across Africa. This role includes identifying and evaluating suppliers, managing competitive bidding processes, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely, cost-effective, and ethical sourcing of goods and services. The Procurement Manager will develop and maintain procurement policies, monitor supplier performance, and collaborate with program, finance, and operations teams to forecast needs and align purchasing with organizational goals. Daily responsibilities also involve maintaining procurement records, analyzing spending data, mitigating supply risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant organizational and donor requirements.
Qualifications
Strong procurement and purchasing skills, including experience in Procurement processes and sourcing strategies.
Demonstrated ability in Supplier Evaluation and performance monitoring to ensure quality, reliability, and value.
Proficiency in Contract Negotiation and Contract Management to secure favorable terms and maintain compliance.
Robust Analytical Skills for cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
Experience working in nonprofit, NGO, or community-based settings, preferably within African contexts.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills in diverse and cross-cultural environments.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote work setting.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field; professional procurement certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is an asset.
