Role Description The Head of Payment Integrity Solutions is a remote contract role responsible for designing, leading, and optimizing payment integrity strategies across healthcare and related payment ecosystems. This role oversees solution development for payment systems and claims processes, leveraging data analysis and domain expertise to identify inappropriate payments, prevent fraud, waste, and abuse, and improve financial performance for clients. Day-to-day tasks include leading cross-functional teams, defining solution roadmaps, guiding implementation of analytical models and rules, and collaborating with stakeholders in product, engineering, data science, and client services. The role also involves establishing best practices for payment integrity operations, monitoring performance metrics, preparing executive-level reports, and supporting business development efforts with subject-matter expertise. The Head of Payment Integrity Solutions will help ensure that Cureris’ AI-driven offerings align with regulatory expectations, payer requirements, and industry standards for accuracy, compliance, and responsible AI in financial workflows.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills, including experience in data analysis, pattern detection, and performance measurement for payment integrity programs.
Demonstrated expertise in payment services and healthcare payment integrity, including claims review, reimbursement models, and fraud, waste, and abuse prevention.
Hands-on experience with payment card processing and related financial workflows, including transaction monitoring, risk controls, and compliance with payment regulations.
Solid foundation in finance, with the ability to interpret financial data, assess ROI, and support budgeting and forecasting for payment integrity initiatives.
Deep understanding of payment systems, including electronic payment platforms, clearing and settlement processes, and integration with healthcare and insurance systems.
Proven leadership experience in payment integrity, healthcare finance, or related domains, including managing cross-functional teams and complex projects.
Familiarity with healthcare claims data, EHR systems, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and payer policies) is highly beneficial.
