Role Description The Tendering Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The role involves managing the end-to-end tendering process, including identifying relevant tenders, reviewing tender documents, preparing proposals, and ensuring timely submission in line with client and regulatory requirements. The Tendering Specialist will collaborate with engineering, procurement, finance, and leadership teams to gather technical and commercial inputs, clarify tender queries, and develop competitive bids. Daily responsibilities include analyzing tender specifications, estimating costs, coordinating supplier quotations, maintaining tender documentation, and tracking tender outcomes for continuous improvement. The role also requires maintaining updated knowledge of market conditions, client requirements, and industry standards to help the company win projects in industrial lining and related services.
Qualifications
Strong tender management and procurement skills, including experience in end-to-end bid preparation, vendor coordination, and compliance with tender requirements.
Excellent analytical skills to review technical and commercial tender documents, estimate costs, and evaluate risks and competitiveness.
Effective communication and proposal writing skills to prepare clear, accurate, and persuasive technical and commercial submissions.
Relevant experience in construction, industrial services, engineering, or related sectors; familiarity with industrial lining or similar works is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, commerce, or a related discipline; advanced qualifications in project management or procurement are beneficial.
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word) and comfort working with tender portals and documentation management systems.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under time-sensitive tender deadlines.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site in the Kolkata metropolitan area and maintain professional relationships with clients and vendors.
