VP / SVP of Operations

TGM Gümrük Müşavirliği is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President / Senior Vice President of Operations to lead and optimize the company’s operational functions, support continued business growth, and strengthen execution across teams and business units.
This executive will work closely with senior leadership to improve operational efficiency, streamline processes, establish performance standards, and ensure that business objectives are translated into measurable results. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience, sound business judgment, and a proven ability to manage complex operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the company’s overall operational strategy and day-to-day execution.
Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team to establish operational priorities and long-term business objectives.
Develop and implement scalable processes, systems, and operating procedures to support business growth.
Oversee operational performance across departments and ensure alignment with company goals.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, service quality, and cost management.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
Lead business process improvement and organizational transformation initiatives.
Collaborate with Finance, HR, Business Development, Legal, and other functional leaders on cross-functional priorities.
Support workforce planning, resource allocation, organizational structure, and capacity planning.
Evaluate operational risks and implement appropriate controls and mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee vendor, partner, and service-provider relationships when applicable.
Support technology adoption, process automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
Lead, mentor, and develop senior managers and operational teams.
Provide regular operational updates, performance analysis, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
Support international and cross-border operations, including logistics, trade, customs, and supply-chain-related activities where applicable.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
12+ years of progressive experience in operations, business management, logistics, supply chain, professional services, or a related field.
5+ years of senior leadership experience at the VP, SVP, COO, General Manager, or comparable executive level preferred.
Demonstrated experience leading large-scale operations and cross-functional teams.
Strong background in strategic planning, process optimization, performance management, and organizational development.
Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, operational priorities, and complex business initiatives.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent executive communication, leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder-management abilities.
Experience in logistics, customs brokerage, international trade, freight forwarding, supply chain, or related industries is highly desirable.
Experience working with international or cross-border organizations is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a remote executive environment and collaborate across multiple functions and locations.
