Summary
This is an evergreen opportunity supporting upcoming solar and BESS EPC projects across the U.S. Survey Superintendents are placed on project sites for the duration of the build (typically 8–12 months) and then transition to the next project.
Thisisonsite, workingon the projectsite,working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm local timeor other working hours the site mayestablish. Overtime and weekend working hours will berequiredas needed.

Essential Job Function & Responsibilities
The Survey Superintendent oversees the daily field operations of a survey crew.
Determine the most efficient plan of action for data acquisition for field surveys ranging from primary control through construction layout and as-built surveys, as needed.
Understand and follow directions.
Proficient with documentation of work performed and sketches.
Communicate daily with Project Surveyor and technician regarding project schedule and work progress.
Interact professionally with client representatives and landowners.
Read and interpret construction drawings/specifications and understand all aspects of the project specifications and tolerances.
Required Qualifications
4+ years of Solar or construction experience, Survey Leadership experience is preferred.
Experience in Solar, commercial or utility scale projects.
Experience with Trimble equipment is preferred.
Strong communication skills (listening, writing and verbal)
Proven work history, strong work ethic, and team-player attitude
Ability to travel for extended periods.
Ability to work in all-weather climates.
Good attitude, eager, willing to learn, proactive.
(Preferred) Experience in constructing PV and/or ESS projects.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.

EXAMPLES OF PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.
Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.)
Able to walk or move continuously while carrying 50 lbs. of tools and/or materials. It is recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs. Check with your project supervisor or project safety director.
Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.) Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with requirements of the job duties.

The above-listed salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. The salary range shared in the job description is for the listed position and only pertains to the candidate if they work in Irvine, CA. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to internal pay equity, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, geographic location, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications. If candidates are considered for a nationwide role, then the compensation range will follow the marketability of the job function within those states.
