Role Description The Senior Dealer role is a full-time, hybrid position based in Kolkata, with flexibility for partial work from home. The Senior Dealer will execute and manage equity, derivatives, and other market orders on behalf of clients, ensuring timely and accurate trade execution in line with regulatory norms and internal risk guidelines. Responsibilities include monitoring markets in real time, analyzing trading opportunities, managing client positions, and coordinating with the research and advisory teams to implement recommended strategies. The role involves regular interaction with clients and relationship managers to understand investment objectives, provide execution-related insights, and maintain a high standard of service. The Senior Dealer will also contribute to compliance reporting, trade reconciliations, and continuous improvement of dealing desk processes and systems.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of capital markets, including equities, derivatives, and other traded instruments, along with practical experience on major exchanges and trading platforms.
Proficiency in trade execution, order management, position monitoring, and risk management within a regulated dealing environment.
Ability to interpret market research, technical and fundamental analysis, and apply them to day-to-day trading and client strategies.
Excellent numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and comfort working with trading software, OMS/RMS systems, and Excel-based tools.
Clear, professional communication skills to interact with clients, relationship managers, and internal teams in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to brokerage, trading, and client order handling.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, economics, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., NISM, NCFM) are preferred.
Prior experience in a dealing desk role with a brokerage, wealth management, or financial services firm is highly beneficial.
