Director of Ops Technology

About the Opportunity
The organization is seeking a Director of Ops Technology to lead operational technology stacks and systems teams. This is a full-time remote role open to candidates located within the United States, supporting a distributed team operating across U.S. time zones.
This leadership role oversees core operational systems and technical teams, driving foundational capabilities and AI-native operational transformation across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
Own the technology stack and teams that support operations across the organization.
Lead established technical systems architecture and administration teams, redesigning the go-to-market stack for efficiency in an AI-first environment.
Personally own and drive select high-priority workstreams and initiatives directly rather than relying solely on delegation.
Deliver impactful, organization-wide capabilities that improve business outcomes, inform key decisions, and support business operating cadence.
Manage a team of managers and individual contributors across functions, stepping in directly whenever needed.
Drive AI-native transformation across all owned functions, including hands-on building where appropriate.
Qualifications
Experience leading a multi-function technical or operational organization, including managing managers across domains.
Track record of owning business outcomes—such as growth, efficiency, conversion, and retention—beyond dashboards and reporting outputs.
Hands-on technical background working closely enough with data engineering, software engineering, or technical systems (such as Salesforce architecture) to troubleshoot issues directly.
Experience operating in a mid-size, high-growth company without relying on inherited, mature infrastructure.
Proven ability to navigate organizational structures and roles that evolve over time, adapting scope and approach accordingly.
Experience building AI-native workflows or tooling that created meaningful, step-function operational changes across a team or organization.
Track record of collaborating closely with C-suite and executive leaders to shape strategy using data and structure ambiguous challenges.
Willingness and ability to step in and execute directly when circumstances require, rather than relying exclusively on managerial delegation.
Demonstrated skill in influencing cross-functional teams with competing priorities without relying strictly on formal authority.

Mandate and scope are dynamic and will continue to evolve based on organizational needs and individual strengths.
The position requires a balance of executive-level strategy, team management, and direct hands-on execution.
