Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Kovilpalayam. The Accountant will handle day-to-day financial transactions, including recording journal entries, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. The role includes preparing invoices, tracking accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with cash flow monitoring. The Accountant will support monthly and annual closing activities, help prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations. The role also involves coordinating with internal departments and external auditors, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting budgeting and cost control activities for the engineering operations.
Qualifications
Strong foundational accounting skills, including bookkeeping, ledger management, and bank reconciliation.
Ability to prepare financial statements, support budgeting processes, and assist with periodic financial reporting.
Knowledge of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and basic auditing practices.
Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office tools, especially Excel for financial data analysis.
Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and the ability to maintain accurate and organized records.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with finance, operations, and management teams.
Ability to work on-site in Kovilpalayam and manage tasks independently with minimal supervision.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; experience in manufacturing or engineering environments is an advantage.
