As the Principal AI Engineer, you own the AI architecture underneath it. Not a feature on someone else’s roadmap, and not a research track that never ships. This is the seat where the agent design, the systems engineering, and the interface people actually touch all belong to one person. Is that person you?
What You'll Build:
Agentic systems that act. Architect, prototype, and productionize LLM-driven workflows that take complex, multi-source geospatial inputs and turn them into immediate operational actions, not recommendations someone else has to execute.
Research that reaches production. Work at the edge of autonomous agents, multimodal reasoning, graph networks, and retrieval-augmented systems, then carry that work through to hardened, scalable microservices across cloud and edge.
Performance where it matters. Write clean, fast software across backend services, low-latency data pipelines, and interactive interfaces, using the right language for the job across Rust, C++, Python, and TypeScript.
Features end to end. Own the whole vertical, from algorithmic models and backend microservices up to the interfaces that let non-technical analysts work alongside AI agents with a human in the loop.
Technical authority. Set the standard for AI development, security, and algorithmic deployment across the Innovation, Product, and Core Software Engineering teams.
Who You Are:
8+ years of progressive software engineering, with a track record of designing, training, and deploying AI/ML architectures, autonomous agents, and LLM-driven agentic workflows into production.
Real range across the stack: modern systems programming (Rust, C++), AI orchestration in Python, and web architecture in TypeScript. We are looking for depth in systems work paired with the ability to ship a usable interface, not four equal specialties.
Experience building responsive UI and UX that lets non-technical users interact with complex models and autonomous systems.
Deep fluency in the mathematics and theory behind machine learning, plus the engineering discipline to debug, optimize, and scale model architectures in the wild.
Experience deploying across heterogeneous environments: cloud microservices, Linux containers, local edge nodes, and hybrid infrastructure.
