The firm delivers data-backed research, equity analysis, and market insights that aim to identify key drivers behind market movements. Using a combination of deep fundamental research and a macro-overlay framework, ArthaStreet covers Indian equities, central bank policy, sector rotations, and institutional capital flows. Core areas include macroeconomic trends, Indian equity indices and midcaps, institutional activity, and sectoral and thematic work across BFSI, IT, manufacturing, capital goods, and emerging growth themes. The objective is to provide high-signal, objective commentary that helps investors, traders, and finance professionals navigate evolving market cycles, strictly for educational and informational purposes.
Role Description The Equity Research Intern will support the research team by collecting, organizing, and analyzing data on Indian equities, macroeconomic indicators, and sector-specific trends. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in building and updating financial models, preparing research notes and presentations, and contributing to sector and thematic reports under guidance. The intern will help track institutional flows, corporate earnings, and key market developments, and participate in internal discussions on investment narratives and market drivers. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata, requiring consistent collaboration with the team and adherence to research timelines and quality standards.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and a solid foundation in Finance.
Candidates should possess practical exposure to Equity Research and the ability to interpret market and company-specific data.
Candidates should possess competency in Financial Modeling and proficiency with spreadsheets and basic data tools.
Candidates should possess clear written and verbal Communication skills for preparing research notes and presentations.
Familiarity with Indian equity markets, macroeconomics, and sectoral trends is highly beneficial.
Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment are important.
Interest in capital markets research as a long-term career path will be considered an advantage.
