As a Control Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the development, integration, commissioning and
troubleshooting of control systems for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), renewable energy and industrial power applications. You will be responsible for PLC programming and troubleshooting, control panel integration, communication interfaces, electrical control systems and field commissioning. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and hands-on engineer with a strong foundation in PLC, industrial automation, electrical systems and control engineering to join a fast-paced cleantech startup and work on next-generation energy solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, modify and troubleshoot PLC programs for BESS, EMS and industrial automation applications.
Troubleshoot PLC systems, I/O, control logic, interlocks, alarms and permissive sequences.
Work with PLC platforms such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Delta or equivalent.
Design, configure and troubleshoot control panels, including PLC panels, relay logic, contactors, MCBs/MCCBs and control circuits.
Read and interpret electrical SLDs, control schematics, wiring diagrams and panel drawings.
Perform PLC panel wiring, I/O checking, loop checking and control-system testing.
Integrate PLCs with PCS, BMS, EMS, energy meters, DGs, protection relays, switchgear and other field devices.
Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP, Ethernet and CAN.
Develop and test control sequences for BESS charging, discharging, DG operation, load management, backup power and energy optimization.
Perform installation, testing and commissioning of control systems at customer/project sites.
Conduct FAT and SAT activities including I/O testing, communication testing, functional testing and sequence validation.
Troubleshoot electrical and control-system issues during commissioning and operation.
Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve system reliability.
Coordinate with electrical, software, PCS, BMS and project teams to ensure seamless system integration.
Support integration of solar PV, DG, grid, BESS and industrial loads with the EMS and control system.
Maintain accurate records of PLC programs, control logic, communication mappings, drawings, test reports and system configurations.
Prepare commissioning reports, troubleshooting reports and technical documentation.
Provide technical support to customers and site teams during commissioning and post-commissioning activities.
Follow project safety procedures and ensure compliance with applicable electrical and site safety requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
o Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation Engineering, Diploma or a related field.
o 4–7 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, PV/substation SCADA, PLC, control systems, electrical maintenance, commissioning or a similar field.
o o Strong hands-on experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
o Experience with one or more PLC platforms such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Delta or equivalent.
o Good understanding of PLC I/O, DI/DO, AI/AO, sensors, relays, contactors and control circuits.
o Good understanding of electrical and control schematic diagrams.
o Hands-on experience with PLC panels, panel wiring, control-panel troubleshooting and commissioning.
o Good understanding of industrial electrical systems including LT panels, transformers, DGs, switchgear,
VCB/ACB/MCCB and protection systems.
o Knowledge of industrial communication protocols, particularly Modbus RTU/TCP and Ethernet-based
communication.
