Fullstack Engineer (AI)

We are looking for a Full Stack AI Engineer who is comfortable working across backend systems, AI/LLM integration, and frontend applications. You will help build AI-powered workflows, conversational agents, and data pipelines that power PixieDust's Sales and Fulfillment Operating System. This role requires someone who enjoys working in a fast-moving startup environment, taking ownership of features from design to production deployment
The core responsibilities for the job include the following:
Build AI-driven Applications:
Develop AI-powered workflows using LLMs and domain-specific models.
Build conversational agents that interact with borrowers across the web, SMS, voice, and email.
Implement prompt engineering, retrieval systems, and model orchestration.
Full Stack Development:
Build scalable backend APIs and services.
Develop user interfaces for internal operations and customer workflows.
Integrate with external APIs and financial data platforms.
Data and AI Integration:
Build pipelines that ingest and enrich business data.
Implement systems using structured and unstructured data.
Work with vector databases and knowledge retrieval systems.
System Architecture:
Design scalable services using modern cloud infrastructure.
Optimize system performance and reliability.
Implement secure data handling practices.
Collaboration:
Work closely with product, analytics, and AI teams.
Participate in architecture discussions and technical design.
Contribute to rapid prototyping and experimentation.
Requirements:
3-5 years experience in software engineering.
Strong experience in Python and/or Node.js .
Experience building backend APIs and microservices.
Experience with React / Next.js / modern frontend frameworks.
Familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc. ).
Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
Experience with SQL / NoSQL databases.
Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience building AI applications using LLMs.
Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.
Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS).
Experience with data pipelines and ETL workflows.
Exposure to fintech, lending, or financial data systems.
Experience with real-time communication platforms (Twilio, messaging APIs).
