ABOUT PRAAVYAX RESEARCH
Praavyax Research is an emerging research-focused organization working on complex engineering challenges through advanced computational modelling. Our work focuses on real-world problems involving fluid and thermal sciences, computational engineering, and simulation.
We are looking for a motivated CFD Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience working on engineering simulations, research workflows, and industry-relevant computational tools.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a CFD Intern, you will contribute to ongoing engineering and research activities involving CFD simulations, CAD geometry preparation, meshing, post-processing, and validation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Clean and prepare CAD geometries for CFD simulations.
• Generate and assess computational meshes.
• Set up and run CFD simulations.
• Post-process simulation results and extract meaningful engineering insights.
• Create technical visualizations of simulation results.
• Assist in validating simulation results against experimental or benchmark data.
• Document simulation methodologies, workflows, and findings.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with the team on engineering problems and simulation studies.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Education
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline; or
• Recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Freshers are encouraged to apply.
Core Fundamentals
• Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics through coursework or academic projects.
Simulation Skills
• Basic understanding of numerical methods and CFD.
• Familiarity with CFD tools or solvers such as OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent, or similar tools.
CAD & Programming
• Basic experience with 3D CAD modelling and geometry preparation.
• Basic scripting/programming knowledge in Python, MATLAB, or similar languages for data processing or workflow automation.
Analytical Skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and a structured approach to simulation and validation.
• Willingness to learn and work in a research-oriented environment.
Communication
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a technical team.
