Role Description The Drone Pilot Engineer will operate and manage drones and UAV systems for various industrial and commercial applications, ensuring safe and efficient flight operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning missions, conducting pre-flight and post-flight inspections, monitoring flight performance, and maintaining equipment in accordance with safety standards and regulations. The role involves collecting and analyzing aerial data, coordinating with technical and operations teams, and contributing to training materials or sessions related to drone usage. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, requiring regular presence at the company’s facilities and project locations.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Drone Piloting with hands-on experience operating Drones and UAV systems.
Proficiency in Piloting techniques and familiarity with Training practices for drone operations.
Knowledge of aviation safety standards, local regulations related to UAV use, and risk management in flight operations.
Technical understanding of drone hardware, sensors, batteries, and basic troubleshooting.
Ability to interpret aerial data, create basic reports, and collaborate with engineering or operations teams.
Good communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow structured procedures and checklists.
Relevant certification or license for professional drone piloting, where applicable; engineering or technical diploma/degree is an advantage.
