Role Description The Lab Chemist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad. The Lab Chemist will perform routine and specialized chemical analyses, prepare reagents and samples, and operate laboratory equipment to support mining and metals processes. Responsibilities include conducting quality control tests, maintaining accurate records of test results, and ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves calibration and basic maintenance of instruments, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with production and quality teams to resolve technical issues. The Lab Chemist will also assist in method development, troubleshooting analytical procedures, and continuous improvement of lab workflows.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and demonstrated experience in Quality Control testing.
Candidates should possess practical Laboratory Skills, including safe handling of chemicals and preparation of samples.
Candidates should possess proficiency in operating Laboratory Equipment and performing Calibration of instruments.
Relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
Understanding of industrial or manufacturing processes, ideally in mining, metals, or pharmaceuticals, is beneficial.
Knowledge of laboratory safety standards and basic regulatory requirements for chemical testing.
Ability to interpret test data, prepare clear reports, and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Attention to detail, reliability in following procedures, and capability to work both independently and within a team.
