Role Description The Poultry Farm Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram, responsible for overseeing day-to-day farm operations, flock health, and production performance. This role includes planning and monitoring feeding schedules, vaccination programs, and biosecurity measures, as well as supervising farm staff and coordinating work shifts. The manager will track production data, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities also include managing inventory of feed, medicines, and equipment, coordinating with vendors and service providers, and reporting operational and performance metrics to senior management. The role requires proactive problem-solving, hands-on involvement in farm activities, and continuous improvement of processes to optimize productivity and animal welfare.
Qualifications
Experience managing poultry or livestock farms, with strong knowledge of flock management, animal welfare, and biosecurity practices.
Ability to plan and oversee feeding, vaccination, and health monitoring programs, including record-keeping and data-driven decision-making.
Skills in supervising and training farm staff, delegating tasks, and maintaining a safe and disciplined work environment.
Competence in inventory management, basic budgeting, and coordinating with suppliers and service providers.
Good communication skills for reporting to management and collaborating with veterinarians, technicians, and external partners.
Comfort with using basic digital tools or farm management software for logs, schedules, and performance tracking.
Relevant diploma or degree in agriculture, animal science, veterinary science, or a related field is preferred.
Prior experience in commercial poultry operations in or near Gurugram is an advantage.
Ability to work on-site full time, respond promptly to operational issues, and adapt to changing farm conditions.
