Store Assistant - Transformer Manufacturing

EVR Electricals Private Limited is looking for a Store Assistant to join our Stores & Inventory team at Sriperumbudur, Chennai.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and verify incoming raw materials, components and electrical accessories against purchase orders and delivery documents.
Conduct basic quantity, identification and condition checks during material receipt.
Maintain proper material storage, identification, tagging and location-wise arrangement.
Issue materials to Production and other departments based on approved material requests.
Maintain stock records, inward/outward registers and inventory documentation.
Support regular physical stock verification and reconciliation.
Monitor stock levels and inform the Stores/Purchase team about shortages, excess or slow-moving materials.
Ensure proper handling and storage of materials such as copper, insulation materials, transformer accessories, hardware and consumables.
Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality and Accounts for material-related requirements.
Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure safe and organised storage of materials.
Assist in ERP/system entries and preparation of stores-related reports.
Candidate Profile
Qualification: ITI / Diploma / Any relevant qualification
Experience: 1–3 years in Stores / Warehouse / Inventory; experience in manufacturing preferred.
Basic knowledge of inventory management and material handling.
Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
Basic computer knowledge; ERP experience will be an advantage.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work in a factory/shop-floor environment.
Responsible, organised and detail-oriented.
