Linkedx Local Accra is coordinated by GDF Consult, which supports local professionals and businesses through events and advisory services. The initiative encourages participants to connect, share ideas, and explore opportunities within a supportive business community. Interested individuals and organizations are invited to engage more deeply by joining the Chamber of Commerce and registering to take part in upcoming activities.
Role Description The Cook at Linkedx Local - Accra will support virtual and hybrid events by planning menus, developing simple, easy-to-follow recipes, and providing clear written or recorded cooking instructions for participants. Day-to-day tasks include designing event-appropriate dishes, preparing ingredient lists, coordinating with event organizers on themes and dietary needs, and sharing guidance that participants can follow from their own locations. The Cook may also participate in live online sessions or pre-recorded demonstrations, ensuring recipes are practical, safe, and accessible. This is a part-time remote role, allowing flexibility in scheduling while requiring reliable availability during agreed event times.
Qualifications
Strong practical cooking skills, including meal planning, recipe development, and safe food handling.
Ability to explain cooking steps clearly in writing and verbally, with attention to detail and timing.
Experience supporting events (online or in-person), including planning menus to fit themes and audiences.
Comfort using digital tools (video conferencing, email, shared documents) to deliver remote cooking guidance.
Knowledge of basic nutrition and common dietary requirements (e.g., vegetarian, vegan, allergies) is an advantage.
Organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines.
Prior experience as a cook, chef, or culinary instructor is beneficial but not strictly required.
