Role Description The Full Charge Bookkeeper is a full-time, on-site role located in Burlington, VT, responsible for managing all day-to-day accounting activities for the property management operations. This position prepares and maintains accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statements. The role handles accounts payable and accounts receivable, processes rent receipts, vendor invoices, and bank deposits, and monitors cash flow. The Full Charge Bookkeeper calculates and files payroll taxes, supports payroll processing, and ensures compliance with relevant tax and regulatory requirements. This role collaborates with management to provide financial reports, assists with budgeting and forecasting, and responds to accounting inquiries from internal stakeholders and external partners.
Qualifications
Strong bookkeeping and accounting skills, including experience managing Financial Statements and Journal Entries (Accounting).
Solid understanding of Payroll Taxes and related compliance requirements.
Hands-on experience with full-cycle Bookkeeping in a small business or property management environment.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with operational and management teams.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience in property management or real estate accounting is preferred but not required.
