Role Description The Medical Doctor role at Lemoius is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The Medical Doctor will provide direct patient care, including conducting clinical examinations, diagnosing conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans. Daily responsibilities include prescribing medications, performing or assisting with procedures as appropriate, monitoring patient progress, and maintaining accurate medical records. The Medical Doctor will collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, communicate with patients and families about care plans, and adhere to clinical guidelines, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. The role may also involve participating in case discussions, contributing to quality improvement initiatives, and supporting patient education and preventive health programs.
Qualifications
Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and valid medical license or eligibility for licensure in the relevant jurisdiction.
Demonstrated clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care in a hospital or clinical setting.
Strong knowledge of medical protocols, evidence-based practice, and applicable healthcare regulations and ethical standards.
Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary clinical teams, including clear documentation in medical records.
Ability to work on-site in Chennai, manage demanding caseloads, prioritize tasks, and maintain composure in high-pressure clinical situations.
Commitment to continuous professional development, openness to feedback, and willingness to participate in training and quality improvement activities.
Experience in hospital or acute care environments is preferred; specialization or residency training in a relevant medical field is an advantage.
Basic proficiency with hospital information systems, electronic health records, and standard clinical tools and technologies.
