Business Development Director

Role Description The Director at Lopez Ranching is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Sundar Nagar. This position oversees day-to-day ranch operations, including livestock management, resource planning, and coordination of field activities to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent production. The Director leads and develops on-site teams, sets priorities, and monitors performance against operational and financial goals. Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, vendor and contractor coordination, and adherence to regulatory and safety standards. The role also involves building strong relationships with local stakeholders, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and supporting long-term strategic growth for the ranch.
Qualifications
Proven experience in ranching, agriculture, or related operations, with responsibility for daily field activities and resource oversight.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including team management, performance coaching, and the ability to coordinate diverse on-site staff and contractors.
Strong organizational and planning abilities, with experience in budgeting, scheduling, and operational decision-making.
Knowledge of livestock care, land use practices, and basic agricultural safety and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams, local partners, and vendors.
Comfort working in an on-site, hands-on environment and making timely, practical decisions under changing conditions.
Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, animal science, business management, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience implementing sustainability initiatives or process improvements in an agricultural or rural setting is an advantage.
