The team is growing and looking for individuals who focuse on scaling a global, impact-driven product in development, design, and media.
Role Description
As a Frontend Developer at Tarjam, you will contribute to the development and improvement of user-facing features for the live translation platform. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to implement responsive, accessible interfaces, optimize performance, and ensure a seamless user experience across devices and browsers. Daily tasks include checking Linear for active tasks within current cycle, integrating frontend with backend APIs, fixing UI bugs in our main platform, and participating in peer review sessions or weekly codebase audits. You will also help refine workflows for frontend (if applicable), testing new features using our frameworks of choice, and contributing ideas to enhance our overall product distribution and delivery. This is a remote role, offering flexible collaboration in a fast-paced startup environment, with clear ownership of the products frontend service.
Necessary Qualifications
Strong skills in Front-End Development and Responsive Web Design for building modern, user-friendly interfaces.
Foundational knowledge in Web Development and Software Development principles, including version control and testing.
Familarily with using Git, Github, and other tools such as Linear as our project management of choice, Cloudflare, and other tools.
Intermediate understanding on implementation of core apis to collaborate effectively on API integration and data flows.
Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/Typescript; familiarity with at least one modern frontend framework (e.g., React, Vue, or similar).
Proficiency with Tanstack ecosystem including Tanstack Query, Tanstack Router, Tanstack Form, and more.
Proficiency with the mentioned tech/technologies mentioned below this section.
Ability to write clean, maintainable code and follow best practices for accessibility, performance, and security.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced startup environment.
Effective remote communication and collaboration skills; comfort working with distributed teams within various divisions such as web, mobile, infra.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
