Vice President of Marketing
Position overview
The Vice President of Marketing (VP of Marketing) is responsible for formulating and executing the company's overall marketing strategy and promoting brand building, market growth, customer acquisition, product promotion and business growth.
This position enhances the company's brand influence, market coverage and customer growth and supports the company's overall business strategy by integrating functions such as brand marketing, digital marketing, content marketing, product marketing, market research, public relations and demand generation.
Main responsibilities
1. Marketing strategy
Develop the company's overall marketing strategy and annual marketing plan.
Ensure marketing strategy is aligned with company business goals, revenue goals and brand strategy.
Adjust marketing strategies based on market trends, customer needs and competitive environment.
Establish long-term market growth and brand development plans.
2. Brand strategy and management
Responsible for the company's overall brand strategy, brand positioning and brand image management.
Establish a unified brand information, visual standards and market communication system.
Enhance the company's brand awareness and influence in the target market.
Oversee brand content, advertising, PR and external communications activities.
3. Market expansion and growth
Develop market entry, market expansion and customer growth strategies.
Identify new customer segments, market opportunities and business growth opportunities.
Promote the marketing and promotion of new markets, new regions and new products.
Work with the sales team to establish an ongoing customer demand generation system.
4. Digital Marketing
Lead the company's digital marketing strategy, including channels such as search, social media, website, email and digital advertising.
Optimize customer acquisition and conversion efficiency across digital channels.
Use marketing data to analyze customer behavior and market performance.
Drive marketing automation and digital marketing technology adoption.
5. Product Marketing
Work with product, sales and business development teams to develop product marketing strategies.
Responsible for product positioning, value proposition, market information and product launch plan.
Support new product launch and marketing.
Optimize product marketing strategies based on customer feedback and market data.
6. Content and Dissemination
Oversee content marketing, corporate communications and marketing efforts.
Develop content strategy including industry reports, white papers, case studies, press releases and digital content.
Ensure the consistency of the company's external market information.
Collaborate with corporate communications and public relations teams to enhance brand impact.
7. Market research and competition analysis
Research industry trends, customer needs, and competitor dynamics.
Establish market analysis and competitive intelligence system.
Identify growth opportunities and potential risks based on market data.
Provide market insights into the company's product, sales and business strategies.
8. Sales and Customer Acquisition Support
Establish a close cooperation mechanism with the sales team.
Establish a marketing lead generation, cultivation and conversion system.
Analyze the contribution of marketing channels to sales revenue.
Optimize customer acquisition cost (CAC) and marketing return on investment (ROI).
9. Marketing budget management
Develop and manage annual marketing budget.
Allocate resources for advertising, digital marketing, events, PR, content and brand building.
Monitor marketing spend and return on investment.
Dynamically optimize marketing resource allocation based on market performance.
10. Marketing activities and customer activities
Oversee industry conferences, exhibitions, product launches and customer events.
Establish corporate events and branding plans.
Expand customer and partner network through industry events.
Evaluate the campaign’s actual contribution to brand and business growth.
11. Marketing Team Leader
Lead the marketing, brand, digital marketing, product marketing, content and market analytics teams.
Establish marketing team organizational structure and performance management system.
Recruit, train and develop marketing management talent.
Promote cross-department collaboration and marketing capability building.
12. Data and Marketing Technology
Promote the construction of CRM, marketing automation, customer data platform and analysis tools.
Establish marketing data indicators and performance analysis system.
Leverage data to optimize customer acquisition, marketing funnels, and conversion rates.
Promote digitization and automation of marketing processes.
Job requirements
Bachelor degree or above in marketing, business management, media, economics or related majors.
Extensive marketing, brand, growth or commercial marketing management experience.
Experience developing and executing enterprise-level marketing strategies.
Familiar with digital marketing, brand marketing, product marketing and demand generation.
Possess market research, customer analysis and competitive analysis capabilities.
Have strong budget management and business analysis capabilities.
Possess excellent leadership, communication and cross-department collaboration skills.
Ability to collaborate at a high level with CEO, sales, product, business development and operations teams.
An MBA or marketing-related professional qualification may be considered a plus.
