HVAC Lead

The HVAC Lead Engineer will be responsible for leading the HVAC team, ensuring high‑quality technical outputs, and coordinating HVAC systems with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines. The role requires strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, solid understanding of constructability, and the ability to produce coordinated models and shop drawings that meet project standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the HVAC engineering and BIM modeling team.
Distribute tasks, monitor progress, and review technical deliverables for accuracy and compliance.
Develop, review, and validate HVAC shop drawings, coordinated models, and design documents.
Perform HVAC design reviews, equipment selection, and compliance checks with relevant codes and standards.
Prepare technical reports, coordination summaries, and documentation required for project execution.
Ensure HVAC layouts consider constructability, installation requirements, access, and maintenance clearances.
Coordinate effectively with architectural, structural, and MEP teams to resolve clashes and ensure seamless integration.
Conduct multidisciplinary model reviews and ensure clash‑free HVAC solutions.
Support project managers and BIM leads with technical insights and timely deliverables.
Maintain high standards of communication, leadership, and problem‑solving throughout project cycles.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
5–6 years of relevant experience in HVAC design, modeling, and coordination.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, design review, shop drawings, modeling workflows, and equipment selection.
Solid understanding of codes and standards applicable to HVAC systems.
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is mandatory.
Proven ability to lead teams, assign tasks, and manage technical outputs.
Experience preparing coordinated BIM models, shop drawings, and technical reports.
Strong understanding of constructability, installation requirements, access, and maintenance considerations.
Excellent coordination skills with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.
Good command of written and spoken English.
