Senior Director of Data Architecture

Role Description The Senior Director of Data Architecture is a full-time remote role responsible for defining and overseeing the organization’s data architecture strategy across training programs and client implementations. This role leads the design of scalable data models and enterprise data frameworks that support CRM, project management, and automation platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding data architecture standards, reviewing solution designs, and collaborating with product, engineering, and consulting teams to ensure data integrity, performance, and security. The Senior Director will provide leadership to data and technical teams, mentor architects and analysts, and support the development of best practices for data governance and integration. This role also participates in strategic planning, evaluates new tools and technologies, and contributes to thought leadership related to data architecture and automation.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Data Modeling and Architecture to design scalable, reliable, and secure data solutions.
Experience in Enterprise Architecture, including aligning data strategies with business objectives and technology roadmaps.
Proven Team Leadership skills, with a track record of guiding multi-disciplinary technical teams and mentoring data professionals.
Solid Project Management capabilities to oversee complex data initiatives, manage timelines, and coordinate stakeholders.
Extensive experience with modern data platforms and tools (e.g., cloud data warehouses, data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs, integration frameworks).
Knowledge of CRM systems, no-code/low-code automation tools, and analytics platforms is highly beneficial.
Familiarity with data governance, security, compliance, and best practices for data quality and stewardship.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in education, consulting, or training environments, especially around automation and digital transformation, is a plus.
