For this engagement, we are expanding the team working on AI security and adversarial validation.
Role Description
We are hiring a senior remote contributor for a contract-based AI security project.
This role is for a senior specialist who can help shape testing methodology, review findings from other contributors, mentor a mixed team, and raise the overall rigor of an adversarial validation effort focused on AI-based cyber threat detection systems.
You will not just execute tests. You will decide what "good" looks like for the team, catch gaps in how junior contributors frame their findings, and make sure the testing approach holds up under scrutiny.
The role is integrated with an existing technical team, alongside hands-on testers and a toolkit engineer. You will work across all of them.
Responsibilities
Shape and own the adversarial testing methodology for AI-based cyber threat detection models.
Design and review realistic attacker scenarios, evasive variants, and edge cases used across the team.
Set the bar for testing model robustness against poisoning, misleading inputs, drift, and noisy threat intelligence signals.
Review other contributors' findings for technical accuracy, relevance, and completeness before they are finalized.
Identify systemic blind spots and weak detection patterns that individual test cases might miss.
Mentor contributors across different backgrounds, testers, analysts, and engineers, on adversarial thinking and reporting standards.
Improve consistency and reproducibility of documentation across the team's test cases, findings, and recommendations.
Collaborate directly with engineers, analysts, and offensive security specialists as the senior technical reference point.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in offensive security, red teaming, adversarial ML, AI security, threat research, or a closely related field.
Track record of leading or shaping red-team, adversarial testing, or security validation methodology, not just participating in it.
Deep understanding of real-world attack techniques, evasion methods, and adversarial thinking, applied specifically to AI/ML systems.
Strong practical understanding of AI/ML model weaknesses, adversarial testing approaches, model behavior under attack, and cyber threat detection.
Experience reviewing or auditing other people's technical work and giving direct, useful feedback.
Ability to write clear, structured technical guidance, not just findings, guidance other contributors can actually follow.
Comfortable working remotely and under confidentiality requirements.
Nice to have
Experience with AI/ML-enabled security systems, CTI, detection engineering, phishing/DGA detection, or network-level attack simulation.
Experience mentoring mixed teams of engineers, analysts, and security specialists.
Prior experience setting or documenting methodology for a distributed/remote team, not just a co-located one.
