Role Description The Chief Data Architect role at Scorp Cloud is a full-time, remote position responsible for defining and leading the company’s enterprise data architecture strategy. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing scalable data architectures, overseeing data modeling standards, and guiding the implementation of data warehousing and ETL solutions across multiple platforms and projects. The role involves establishing data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance, and collaborating with engineering, analytics, and product teams to align data systems with business objectives. The Chief Data Architect will also mentor technical staff, evaluate new data technologies and tools, and create documentation and best practices to support robust data ecosystems.

Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Data Architecture and Data Modeling for designing scalable, resilient data systems.
Candidates should possess skills in Data Warehousing and Extract Transform Load (ETL) for building and maintaining analytical and operational data platforms.
Candidates should possess skills in Data Governance to define policies, standards, and controls that ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), modern data stack tools, and distributed data systems.
Proven track record in leading data architecture initiatives at an enterprise or product level, ideally in a technology or services environment.
Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience working in remote, cross-functional teams and mentoring data engineers, architects, or analysts.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
