Role Description The Director role at Movement Search & Delivery is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Chicago Area. The Director will oversee client relationships, lead search engagements, and drive business development initiatives to expand the firm’s presence in key markets. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients to understand their talent needs, designing search strategies, managing end-to-end recruitment processes, and guiding internal teams to deliver high-quality candidates. The Director will analyze market trends, contribute to service offerings, and maintain a strong network of senior-level professionals. This role also involves mentoring team members, ensuring operational excellence, and collaborating with leadership to achieve revenue and growth targets.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in executive search, recruitment consulting, or talent acquisition, preferably with a focus on leadership or specialized roles.
Strong client management skills, including the ability to lead discovery conversations, set expectations, and deliver strategic hiring recommendations.
Proven business development capabilities, such as building new client relationships, expanding existing accounts, and contributing to growth strategies.
Leadership and team management experience, including mentoring staff, managing performance, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive work environment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Ability to work on-site in the Greater Chicago Area and travel locally as needed for client meetings and industry networking events.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or a related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications in HR or recruitment are a plus.
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, recruitment technologies, and data-driven decision-making to improve search outcomes.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to non-discriminatory, inclusive hiring practices.
