Role Description The Vice-President of Project Management is a full-time remote role responsible for leading the project management function across the organization. This position oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic programs and projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budgets. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining project governance frameworks, leading cross-functional project teams, managing stakeholder expectations, and monitoring progress through key performance indicators. The role also involves optimizing resource allocation, mitigating risks, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement in project management processes and tools. The Vice-President of Project Management will collaborate closely with senior leadership to prioritize initiatives, support decision-making, and report on portfolio performance.
Qualifications
Strong Project Management and Project Planning skills to lead complex, multi-phase initiatives from inception to completion.
Program Management experience to oversee and coordinate multiple related projects within a broader strategic portfolio.
Analytical Skills and Budgeting capabilities to interpret data, manage financial constraints, and support ROI-focused decision-making.
Proven experience in leading remote, cross-functional teams and building effective stakeholder relationships at senior levels.
Experience implementing or improving project management methodologies and tools (e.g., PMO frameworks, agile or hybrid approaches).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
Track record of managing large-scale initiatives within financial services, investment, or a related industry is highly desirable.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or project management certification (e.g., PMP, PgMP) is a plus.
