Conversations to Remember is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to combating social isolation and loneliness among senior citizens. We facilitate intergenerational connection by matching college students with seniors (including those living with dementia) for weekly virtual visits.
The RoleWe are seeking a motivated Program Operations Coordinator to manage the day-to-day execution of our virtual visit program. This is a high-impact, remote leadership role responsible for overseeing hundreds of active volunteers.
Note: This position focuses on program management and operational health; it does not involve participating in the weekly senior calls directly.
This role is ideal for Public Health (BSPH/MPH), Healthcare Administration, or Social Work students seeking experience in program implementation, volunteer management, or non-profit operations. This position may fulfill requirements for internships, field work, service learning, or practicum credits (subject to school approval).
Responsibilities
Program Oversight: Real-time monitoring of weekly virtual visits to ensure service delivery and technical stability.
Volunteer Management: Provide remote support and troubleshooting for student volunteers and senior caregivers.
Quality Assurance: Track and verify that all scheduled visits are properly staffed and maintain organization standards.
Compliance Tracking: Ensure all participants adhere to organizational protocols and safety guidelines.
Team Leadership: Assist in the supervision and coordination of other program volunteers.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be located in and legally authorized to work in the United States.
Proficiency in Google Suite is required.
Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a remote environment.
Interest in gerontology, mental health, or community health programming.
Position Details
Type: UNPAID Volunteer / Intern.
Location: 100% Remote.
Training: Full training will be provided.

Sunday 1:45pm - 7pm Eastern time
Monday 4:45pm - 8pm Eastern time
Tuesday 4:45pm - 8pm Eastern time
Thursday 4:45pm - 9pm Eastern time
