Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Makkiyad. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking. The role involves preparing journal entries, maintaining general ledgers, and assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. The Accountant will ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and coordinate with internal departments and external auditors as needed. The position also requires maintaining organized financial records, identifying discrepancies, and recommending improvements to financial processes and controls.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in core accounting activities, including bookkeeping, ledger management, and financial reporting.
Ability to handle accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
Familiarity with accounting software and spreadsheets; comfort working with digital records and data analysis tools.
Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements applicable to the hospitality or service sector.
Attention to detail, accuracy in numerical work, and strong organizational skills for managing multiple financial tasks.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with operations, administration, and management teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
Prior experience in accounting or finance, preferably in hospitality or a similar industry, is highly beneficial.
