Role Description This is a full-time, on-site General Manager role based in Kerala, India. The General Manager will oversee daily operations across designated business units, ensuring smooth functioning, compliance with company standards, and achievement of financial and performance targets. Responsibilities include planning and implementing business strategies, supervising staff, managing budgets, monitoring KPIs, and optimizing processes for efficiency and customer satisfaction. The role involves leading cross-functional teams, coordinating with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, and preparing regular reports on operational performance and market trends. The General Manager will also be responsible for fostering a positive work culture, addressing escalated customer issues, and supporting business development and expansion activities.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a senior management or general management role, preferably within retail, hospitality, financial services, or other consumer-facing industries.
Strong leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, performance management, and talent development.
Solid understanding of operations management, budgeting, and financial analysis, with the ability to interpret and act on business metrics.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels.
Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making in fast-paced environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field; a master’s degree (e.g., MBA) is an advantage.
Familiarity with local market dynamics in Kerala and regional business practices; fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Malayalam is beneficial.
