Regional Operations Director

Role Description The Regional Operations Director is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing operational performance across assigned regions and industrial sectors. This role includes leading regional teams, aligning operations with company strategy, and ensuring projects in mining, oil and gas, petrochemicals, and related industries are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Day-to-day responsibilities involve monitoring key performance indicators, optimizing workflows, coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, and commissioning teams, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners. The Regional Operations Director will develop and implement regional operational plans, manage resource allocation, and support continuous improvement initiatives in quality, safety, and efficiency. The role also requires regular virtual collaboration with senior leadership to report on regional performance, risks, and opportunities.
Qualifications
Strong Operations Management experience, including overseeing multi-site or regional industrial operations and implementing process improvements.
Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret operational data, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
Proven Team Management capabilities, including leading cross-functional teams, coaching staff, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive work culture.
Demonstrated Budgeting skills, with experience in financial planning, cost control, and resource optimization for complex projects.
Customer Service orientation, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships and address operational issues professionally.
Experience in industrial sectors such as mining, oil and gas, petrochemicals, or mechanical manufacturing is highly beneficial.
Knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory standards relevant to industrial operations.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree is an advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in remote collaboration tools.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and travel occasionally if required.
