Director of Financial Management

Role Description The Director of Financial Management at LumeFinder Labs is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial planning, reporting, and analysis. This role manages the preparation, review, and interpretation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with strategic goals. The Director leads budgeting and forecasting cycles, partners with cross-functional leaders to provide financial insight, and supports decision-making through data-driven analysis. Daily responsibilities include monitoring cash flow, tracking key financial metrics, improving financial processes and internal controls, and presenting clear financial updates and recommendations to senior leadership. The Director also mentors finance team members, implements best practices in financial management, and contributes to long-term financial strategy and risk management.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Finance with demonstrated experience in corporate or institutional financial management.
Proficiency in Financial Planning and budgeting, including developing forecasts, models, and scenario analyses.
Expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, with the ability to ensure accuracy, compliance, and clarity for stakeholders.
Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support strategic decisions.
Experience with financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP software, spreadsheets, business intelligence platforms).
Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, managing priorities and collaborating across distributed teams.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in accessible terms.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, MBA) is a plus.
Background in leading or overseeing finance teams and implementing process improvements and internal controls.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory, tax, and compliance requirements appropriate to the organization’s operations.
