Project Manager (Volunteer)

About the Role
Active Leaders of Love (ALL) seeking Project Managers to provide flexible project management and execution support across the Light Board Project and related initiatives.
This role is designed for professionals who are comfortable working across different areas of a project rather than being assigned to manage one project or pipeline of work exclusively. Project Managers will help turn plans into coordinated action by supporting timelines, team collaboration, milestone tracking, reporting, documentation, and day-to-day project execution.
The role may support the overall Light Board Project as well as smaller community-focused initiatives that emerge from it.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Execution
Support the planning and execution of activities across the Light Board Project and related initiatives.
Coordinate assigned project tasks, timelines, milestones, and follow-ups.
Help ensure agreed actions are completed and communicated to the appropriate team members.
Support Project and Program leadership with day-to-day project execution.
Identify coordination gaps, delays, or outstanding actions and bring them forward to the appropriate lead.
Adapt to changing project priorities and provide support where needed across different workstreams.
Team Collaboration
Support coordination of internal team collaboration across departments and project teams.
Help organize and support biweekly team or departmental meetings.
Prepare agendas, track action items, document decisions, and follow up on outstanding tasks where required.
Help ensure information moves effectively between project teams and organizational departments.
Milestone Tracking & Reporting
Maintain project trackers, workplans, milestone updates, and related documentation.
Support weekly and milestone-based reporting.
Gather updates from project team members and consolidate information for Project/Program leadership.
Track progress against timelines, deliverables, and assigned responsibilities.
Support the preparation of internal project updates and other reporting materials.
Light Board Project Support
Provide generalist project management support across the Light Board Project.
Support coordination of smaller initiatives and activities connected to the project.
Work across different project functions as priorities develop rather than remaining limited to one initiative.
Support the implementation of community-focused activities, research-informed initiatives, engagement activities, and other project deliverables.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone with practical project management experience who can help move work forward.
The ideal candidate has:
Experience in project management, project coordination, program coordination, operations, or a related field.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Experience coordinating people, tasks, timelines, and deliverables.
Strong follow-up and accountability skills.
Experience supporting meetings, action tracking, reporting, or project documentation.
Ability to work across multiple initiatives and priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with different teams.
Flexibility and willingness to provide hands-on execution support where needed.
