Role Description The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) role at Forward is a full-time, remote position responsible for setting the company’s strategic direction and driving execution across all business functions. The CEO will oversee operations, finance, product, and go-to-market activities, ensuring alignment with Forward’s mission to simplify private credit origination. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading and developing the leadership team, establishing organizational goals and KPIs, and managing relationships with key customers, investors, and partners. The CEO will guide fundraising and capital allocation decisions, support major sales and partnership opportunities, and represent Forward in industry events and stakeholder communications. This role also involves building a high-performance, inclusive culture and implementing processes that support sustainable, scalable growth in a distributed work environment.
Qualifications
Strong Communication skills, including executive-level written, verbal, and presentation abilities, and experience engaging investors, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Proficiency in Administrative Assistance and Office Administration, with the ability to design and oversee efficient organizational structures, processes, and workflows.
Customer Service orientation, with a track record of building long-term client relationships and delivering high-quality experiences in B2B or financial services environments.
Accounting and financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and familiarity with private credit or broader financial markets.
Demonstrated leadership experience in a startup or high-growth company, ideally within fintech, SaaS, or financial services.
Proven ability to operate effectively in a remote, distributed organization, fostering collaboration, accountability, and clear communication.
Experience with strategic planning, fundraising, and board-level reporting; prior CEO, founder, or senior executive experience is strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees (MBA or equivalent) are an advantage but not required.
