Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Employee Relations & Investigations / HR Manager & Employee Support professional to support employee relations, workplace concerns, HR policies, and day-to-day employee support. This role will work closely with employees, managers, and HR leadership to help address workplace issues fairly, consistently, and in accordance with company policies and applicable employment requirements.
The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive workplace matters professionally. The position combines employee support, HR consultation, workplace investigations, policy guidance, and HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers regarding workplace concerns and HR matters.
Provide guidance on company policies, procedures, and employee-relations processes.
Receive, document, and appropriately respond to employee concerns and workplace complaints.
Conduct or assist with internal workplace investigations as assigned.
Gather relevant information, interview involved individuals, and maintain investigation documentation.
Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and workplace information.
Partner with managers to address employee relations matters and workplace issues.
Support performance-management and corrective-action processes.
Assist with conflict resolution and workplace issue management.
Help ensure HR practices are applied consistently across teams.
Maintain accurate employee-relations records and case documentation.
Track open cases, follow-ups, and action items.
Escalate complex or high-risk matters to HR leadership or appropriate specialists.
Assist with developing and updating HR policies, procedures, and employee resources.
Support employee onboarding, engagement, and retention initiatives.
Provide managers with guidance on effective employee communication and documentation.
Prepare HR reports and summaries related to employee relations and workplace trends.
Collaborate with HR, Legal, Compliance, and other internal teams when appropriate.
Stay informed about relevant employment regulations and HR best practices.
Support additional HR projects and employee-support initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in employee relations, HR, HR management, or a related function preferred.
Experience handling confidential and sensitive workplace matters.
Strong understanding of employee-relations principles and HR processes.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
Strong investigation, documentation, and analytical abilities.
Good judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information.
Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with employees, managers, and HR teams.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.
Experience conducting workplace investigations.
Familiarity with employee-relations case-management systems.
Knowledge of U.S. employment laws and workplace regulations.
Experience supporting performance-management processes.
Experience working with HRIS platforms.
Strong report-writing and documentation skills.
Previous experience supporting remote or distributed employees.
