Role Description The Research Assistant role at BICON is a full-time, on-site position based in Kanpur. The Research Assistant will support research projects by collecting, organizing, and analyzing data, and by assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation. Typical tasks include conducting literature reviews, helping design and refine experiments or studies, performing laboratory or field work as applicable, and maintaining accurate records of procedures and results. The role involves collaborating with senior researchers, adhering to safety and quality standards, and ensuring that all data and findings are properly recorded and stored. The Research Assistant is expected to manage assigned tasks independently while contributing to a cooperative team environment.
Qualifications
Strong Analytical Skills and Data Analysis abilities to interpret results, identify trends, and support evidence-based conclusions.
Solid Research skills, including literature review, study design support, and accurate documentation of methodologies and findings.
Proficient Laboratory Skills, such as handling equipment, following protocols, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
Effective Communication skills to collaborate with team members, present findings clearly, and prepare written summaries and reports.
Relevant academic background (e.g., bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines responsibly.
Familiarity with basic statistical tools or software and standard office productivity tools is an advantage.
Commitment to ethical research practices, confidentiality, and continuous professional development.
