IT Systems Analyst

## About the Role
Christus Health is seeking an experienced Application System Analyst Senior to serve as a liaison between system end-users, operational leaders, internal support teams, and vendors. This role focuses on designing, configuring, implementing, supporting, maintaining, and optimizing assigned applications and business processes.
The position requires strong healthcare knowledge and systems expertise, advanced application analysis skills, and the ability to independently manage medium to large-scale, complex projects. The successful candidate will contribute to requirements analysis, testing, documentation, implementation, troubleshooting, workflow optimization, and user education while maintaining strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
## Key Responsibilities
* Analyze, develop, test, document, implement, support, maintain, and optimize assigned applications, solutions, and business processes.
* Serve as a liaison between business operations, system users, internal IT teams, providers, and vendors.
* Analyze business issues, requirements, workflows, process maps, and stakeholder needs to develop appropriate application solutions.
* Independently analyze, design, and configure applications for complex end-user and business requirements.
* Lead and coordinate quality assurance and complex integrated testing initiatives.
* Manage testing projects and coordinate testing activities across multidisciplinary teams.
* Lead requirements elicitation, stakeholder analysis, specification gathering, gap analysis, and cross-application recommendations.
* Identify dependencies and provide clear, organized status reporting for project teams and stakeholders.
* Maintain collaborative relationships with customers, operational leaders, end users, and business partners.
* Collaborate with Operational Leaders to promote standardized best-practice workflows and content across ministries.
* Coordinate code changes with appropriate vendors for financial and business application issues.
* Work with technical teams to identify infrastructure-related issues affecting applications.
* Follow established system configuration, change control, approval, testing, and validation processes.
* Troubleshoot and resolve moderate incidents and service requests independently.
* Lead and coordinate high-impact vendor changes across applications.
* Independently manage medium to large-scale and complex projects and requests.
* Review and provide feedback on technical and project documentation.
* Assist with formal and informal training for users and coworkers.
* Mentor and serve as a knowledge resource for other team members.
* Share relevant vendor and industry best practices with operational leaders.
* Maintain and expand technical knowledge of assigned applications and related infrastructure.
* Complete required organizational training and educational activities.
* Travel as required to perform job duties and work additional hours when needed during critical problems.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
## Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience within healthcare, business, or information systems.
* Detailed healthcare knowledge and systems expertise.
* Advanced understanding of assigned applications and related clinical or business operations, processes, and workflows.
* Ability to independently analyze, design, configure, implement, support, and optimize applications.
* Strong requirements analysis, process mapping, stakeholder analysis, and gap analysis skills.
* Experience with application testing and quality assurance initiatives.
* Ability to manage medium to large-scale and complex projects or requests.
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Strong project management capabilities.
* Excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.

## Preferred Qualifications
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree with a focus in healthcare, business, or information systems.
* Certifications related to the assigned area of focus.
* Experience serving as a mentor or knowledge resource to peers.
* For Epic Analyst roles, certification or proficiency in the assigned Epic module.

## Education & Experience
* **Experience:** 5+ years within healthcare, business, or information systems.
* **Education:** Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, or information systems is preferred.
* **Certifications:** Certifications related to the area of focus are preferred.
* **Epic Analysts:** Assigned Epic module certification or proficiency must be obtained within 6 months of employment and maintained through required version training.
## Work Arrangement & Schedule
* **Location:** Dallas, TX, US
* **Work Arrangement:** Onsite
* **Schedule:** 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday
* Travel may be required.
* Additional hours may be required during critical problems.
