Business Analyst - Remote

## About the Role
Talent Groups is seeking a **Business Analyst** with strong experience in retail systems to support technology initiatives across store and fuel operations. This contract role combines business analysis and technical expertise, with a focus on retail systems, data migration, system enhancements, business intelligence, and solution delivery.
The Business Analyst will serve as a lead BA on Retail Systems projects, collaborating with engineering, QA, project managers, stakeholders, vendors, and end users to define requirements, support testing and implementation, and deliver system enhancements.
## Key Responsibilities
* Act as a lead Business Analyst for Retail Systems projects, including **Point-of-Sale (POS)** and convenience store/fuel systems.
* Define, document, and validate business requirements.
* Develop and validate test cases and project deliverables.
* Collaborate with engineering, QA, and project managers on solution design.
* Support **User Acceptance Testing (UAT)** and release documentation.
* Facilitate stakeholder workshops to analyze and document functional requirements.
* Facilitate analysis and documentation of data requirements.
* Provide end-user support and training.
* Develop and provide system recommendations based on business and technical needs.
* Partner with vendors and engineers to support the successful rollout of new software.
* Support system enhancements and technology implementations.
* Manage multiple projects and priorities while delivering results under pressure.
* Document business processes and project requirements.
## Required Qualifications
* **3–5+ years of Business Analyst experience** in retail technology environments.
* Extensive knowledge of retail store systems.
* Experience with **POS platforms**.
* Knowledge of fuel and convenience store operations and technology.
* Strong **SQL** skills.
* Experience working with **business intelligence (BI)** and data migration projects.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
* Experience documenting processes, requirements, test cases, and project deliverables.
* Strong communication skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Familiarity with ERP systems.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams.
* Detail-oriented and motivated approach to work.
## Preferred Qualifications
* Degree in **Computer Science, Information Systems**, or a related field.
* Equivalent professional experience in place of a degree, as specified by the employer.
* Experience supporting retail technology implementations involving store, POS, fuel, or convenience-store operations.
