Senior iOS Engineer

We're looking for a Senior iOS Engineer with deep, hands-on iOS fundamentals and a track record of ownership. You'll own major parts of the company's iOS app end-to-end, from architecture decisions to App Store releases, working closely with a small, high-calibre engineering team spanning mobile, backend, and hardware. This is a high-ownership role. You'll have real influence over the product, direct access to leadership, and the room to build things properly.
Responsibilities:
Own the design, development, and release of core features in the company's iOS app.
Work on real-time experiences: video intercom calls, instant door unlock, live notifications.
Build fast, reliable interactions with hardware: our door readers and intercoms over the network and Bluetooth.
Shape the app's architecture, performance, and quality bar as the product grows.
Collaborate with backend and hardware engineers on end-to-end features, from device to cloud to phone.
Mentor other engineers and raise the bar for iOS engineering across the team.
Requirements:
5+ years of professional iOS development with expert-level Swift.
Strong fundamentals: UIKit and/or SwiftUI, concurrency (GCD, async/await), networking, persistence, app lifecycle, and performance tuning.
A history of shipping and maintaining production apps on the App Store.
Experience working in startups or fast-moving product companies, where you owned significant scope rather than a narrow slice.
A stable career trajectory: you've grown within companies, earned increasing responsibility, and are recognised as a strong iOS engineer by the people you've worked with.
Strong product sense and communication: you can drive features independently from idea to release.
Nice to have:
Camera, AVFoundation, or computer vision experience.
WebRTC or real-time audio/video.
CoreBluetooth / BLE, NFC.
App Intents, widgets, Live Activities, or background execution.
CI/CD for iOS (Fastlane, Xcode Cloud).
