About the Programme
The IIHSE OHS Mentorship Programme is a structured, volunteer-led professional development initiative that connects early-career occupational health and safety professionals with experienced practitioners.
The programme supports professional development through one-to-one mentoring, ethical practice, knowledge sharing and structured guidance over an approximately three-month period.
We are seeking a Volunteer Operations Lead to support the operational implementation of the international programme.
This is an unpaid, remote and flexible volunteer position. Applications are welcome from professionals worldwide.
Responsibilities
Support the day-to-day operational activities of the programme.
Track operational tasks, deadlines and implementation progress.
Support mentor and mentee onboarding and programme processes.
Coordinate administrative workflows and programme records.
Follow up on agreed actions and outstanding tasks.
Support communication between relevant programme functions when required.
Help maintain an organised and consistent programme workflow.
Identify operational issues and communicate them to the Programme Coordinator when necessary.
Requirements
Previous experience in operations, administration, project support, programme support or coordination.
Strong organisational and follow-up skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Good command of English.
Ability to work independently in a remote and international environment.
Ability to commit approximately 1–2 hours per week for 3 months.
Commitment to IIHSE’s ethical, confidentiality and data protection principles.
Working Model
The role is remote, flexible and primarily task-based.
There is no standing weekly meeting requirement and no expectation of continuous online availability. Most activities will be coordinated asynchronously, with occasional communication when required by programme operations.
