We’re seeking a fearless closer with a hunter’s instinct—someone who thrives in high-stakes environments and knows how to navigate complex deals with precision and confidence. Our clients, a global consulting and software company, having had continued phases of growth is looking to expand their US sales team by hiring an experienced IBM PA Account Director.
About the Role
Here you will be managing some of their most high-profile existing customers and be responsible for retaining and expanding the annual revenue across your IBM TM1 portfolio. An IBM TM1 / Planning Analytics Account Manager or Business Development Manager (BDM) drives software license sales, manages client renewals, and expands enterprise performance management (EPM) solutions.
Responsibilities
New Business Development: Identify prospective clients, run outbound campaigns, and close new sales for planning and forecasting tools.
Account Management: Retain existing customers, secure annual contract renewals, and find opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional user licenses.
Value Demonstration: Partner with pre-sales solution architects to deliver high-level software demonstrations and proof-of-concept (PoC) sessions.
Pipeline Forecasting: Maintain accurate sales records, manage deal stages, and forecast revenue using CRM tools like Salesforce.
Qualifications
Domain Knowledge: Understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and enterprise performance management (EPM) concepts.
Tech Literacy: Familiarity with the IBM Planning Analytics ecosystem, including TM1 databases, Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW), and Excel add-ins.
Sales Track Record: 3 to 7+ years of B2B software or technical account management experience, preferably selling enterprise finance or data analytics software.
Communication: Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills to bridge the gap between technical teams and finance buyers.
Required Skills
Solid knowledge and experience with IBM PA / TM1.
Preferred Skills
Experience in selling software subscriptions, cloud migrations, and professional services powered by IBM TM1.
Ability to increase annual recurring revenue (ARR) and expand client use cases from legacy spreadsheets to advanced in-memory multidimensional modeling.
