Role Description The Vice President of Strategic Projects is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading cross-functional initiatives that drive operational efficiency, revenue growth, and competitive advantage in electronic payments. This role oversees the planning, execution, and governance of strategic projects, including process optimization, technology implementations, and new product or service launches. The Vice President collaborates closely with executive leadership, product, operations, finance, and client-facing teams to define project scope, set timelines, allocate resources, and manage risks. Daily responsibilities include monitoring project performance, aligning initiatives with business goals, removing roadblocks, and communicating progress and outcomes to stakeholders. The role also involves identifying new opportunities for innovation, developing business cases, and establishing best practices and frameworks for strategic project management across the organization.
Qualifications
Experience leading strategic initiatives and complex cross-functional programs, preferably in payments, fintech, or financial services.
Strong background in project and program management, including planning, resource allocation, risk management, and performance tracking.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with executive leadership and stakeholders, with excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Proven strategic thinking and analytical skills, including the ability to develop business cases, interpret financial and operational data, and make data-informed decisions.
Comfort with technology-driven environments, including working with payment platforms, SaaS solutions, or other digital systems.
Ability to lead teams in a remote environment, foster accountability, and drive outcomes across multiple priorities.
Relevant education such as a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, management, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or similar) is a plus.
Background in change management, process improvement, or organizational transformation is highly beneficial.
