Role Description We are looking for an experienced and engaging English Language Arts tutor for a long-term online teaching association with a student following the U.S. curriculum.
Key responsibilities
Conduct regular live one-to-one online classes.
Prepare personalized assignments and practice exercises.
Design and maintain a structured study schedule.
Support the student with school coursework and assessments.
Provide regular progress updates to the parent.
Strengthen reading comprehension, writing, grammar and vocabulary.
Develop analytical thinking and evidence-based writing skills.
Review completed assignments and provide constructive feedback.
Gradually build a foundation for future SAT Reading and Writing preparation.
Requirements
Relevant experience teaching English or ELA to school students.
Familiarity with the U.S. curriculum or Common Core standards is preferred.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Strong understanding of grammar, reading comprehension and structured writing.
Ability to use American English conventions.
Patient, reliable and comfortable conducting interactive online classes.
Ability to create personalized lessons based on the student’s progress.
Long-term availability and commitment.
Familiarity with SAT English is an advantage.
