Legal Secretary - California Civil Litigation

Infinity Law Group LLP is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary with strong California civil litigation experience to join our growing litigation team.
We are looking for someone who already understands California court procedures, litigation calendaring, e-filing, and the day-to-day demands of supporting busy litigation attorneys. This is not an entry-level legal position.
Our preference is for this role to be based in our Lafayette office, but hybrid or remote arrangements may be considered for a highly experienced candidate who can work independently and reliably.
What You’ll Do
Calendar and monitor California litigation deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and discovery deadlines
Prepare, format, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence
E-file documents in California state and federal courts
Manage attorney calendars and coordinate hearings, depositions, mediations, and meetings
Coordinate service of process and court filings
Monitor court notices and litigation deadlines
Maintain organized electronic case files
Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, experts, and vendors
Assist with discovery, document production, exhibits, hearing binders, and trial preparation
Provide day-to-day litigation support to attorneys and paralegals
What We’re Looking For
Required:
Strong experience working in a California law firm
Experience supporting California civil litigation
Knowledge of California court procedures, filing requirements, and calendaring
Experience with California state court e-filing and federal CM/ECF
Strong Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat skills
Excellent proofreading, formatting, organization, and communication skills
Ability to independently manage multiple deadlines and priorities
Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
Preferred:
5+ years of California litigation support experience
Experience with legal case-management or docketing software
Experience in business, employment, real estate, trust/probate, or personal injury litigation
Typing speed of 50+ WPM
Compensation
$60,000–$80,000 annually, depending on experience
Compensation will reflect the candidate’s depth of California litigation experience, technical skills, and ability to independently manage litigation support responsibilities.
