🚀 Solution Architect (AI) – Case Management Modernisation

Alkemiz is hiring an experienced Solution Architect for an exciting enterprise case management modernisation initiative supporting the Courts of Victoria.
This is a senior, hands-on architecture engagement where you'll shape the future-state solution, evaluate modern platforms and AI capabilities, and present recommendations directly to executive stakeholders.
🔹 What you'll be doing
• 🏗️ Define the target-state solution architecture and modernisation options for an existing VB/Oracle environment.
• 🤖 Assess and incorporate practical AI/ML capabilities into the future solution — including areas such as intelligent case triage, document processing and decision support.
• 🔍 Lead market and vendor evaluations, including platform selection and build-vs-buy assessments.
• 📄 Develop well-reasoned solution papers, architectural options and technology recommendations.
• 🎯 Facilitate key architecture and technology decisions, with clear rationale and trade-offs.
• 🗣️ Present architectural recommendations and options to senior and executive stakeholders.
• 🤝 Work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and delivery partners to validate requirements, assumptions and constraints.
🔹 What we're looking for
• 5+ years of relevant experience, with a strong track record as a Solution Architect on complex enterprise systems.
• Proven experience with legacy modernisation or system replacement programs.
• Demonstrated AI/ML experience within enterprise solutions, with the ability to distinguish practical value from AI hype.
• Exposure to VB and Oracle-based legacy environments is highly desirable.
• Strong experience independently shaping architecture from an open brief and producing solution papers and recommendations.
• Excellent written, verbal and executive-level presentation skills.
• 🏛️ Experience in case management, regulatory or government-adjacent environments is desirable.
• 🔄 Experience modernising VB, Oracle Forms or similar legacy platforms is advantageous.
