Role Description This is a remote contract role for a Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant. The consultant will lead requirements gathering sessions with clients, translate business needs into functional specifications, and design Business Central configurations to support finance, supply chain, and operations processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include system configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting data migration and integration activities in collaboration with technical teams. The role also involves preparing documentation, conducting user training, advising on best practices, and providing ongoing functional support to ensure successful deployments and optimal use of Business Central.
Qualifications
Strong functional expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including configuration, workflows, and module implementation (e.g., Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory).
Experience in business process analysis, requirements gathering, solution design, and documentation for ERP implementations.
Background in testing, issue analysis, and coordination with technical teams for integrations, customizations, and data migration.
Ability to conduct end-user training, create user guides, and provide post-implementation functional support.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing consulting skills.
Proven experience in similar senior functional consultant or ERP implementation roles; experience with start-ups or small businesses is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Relevant Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Business Central certifications are highly beneficial.
