The brand is led by designers Varun and Nidhika and specialises in artisanal embroidery, high-quality fabrics, and a distinctive design language that blends traditional techniques with modern silhouettes.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Womenswear Couture Designer with strong experience in couture and embroidery-led garments. The role involves developing couture pieces from concept to final execution, while working closely with artisans, embroiderers, and sampling teams to ensure high standards of craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Design Development
• Develop couture womenswear designs aligned with the brand’s aesthetic and seasonal collections
• Create detailed sketches with strong focus on embroidery and surface techniques
Embroidery & Craft Development
• Conceptualise and develop embroidery layouts and surface detailing
• Work closely with artisans and karigars to execute intricate embroidery techniques
Sampling & Product Development
• Oversee garment development from prototype to final sample
• Ensure accuracy in fit, embroidery placement, and garment construction
Team Coordination
• Guide junior designers and assistants during design and sampling stages
• Ensure smooth workflow between design, sampling, and production teams
Requirements
• 6–10 years of experience in womenswear couture / bridal couture design
• Strong expertise in embroidery development and surface ornamentation
• Experience working with artisan-led craftsmanship and sampling teams
• Strong understanding of couture silhouettes, fabrics, and garment construction
